Book Cover
Oct. 2019 TO Nov. 2019This abstract book cover redesign utilized topographic map patterns all over the cover, to represent the setting of the book, which takes place on a deserted island. There are eyes within the pattern to create an unsettling feeling, as if someone is watching, similar to the paranoia that the characters face in the book. The book cover uses warm colours to create the feeling of fire, which is one of the key items needed for survival when stranded on an island.
The title located on the front cover, and an excerpt from the book on the back cover are blurred in some part of the type, to represent an iconic quote from the book spoken by a character that wears glasses.
