SERENA WONG

Serena Wong (she/her) is a Toronto-based graphic designer with a love for all things creative — and a good bowl of soup, whether it's army stew or cream of mushroom.

In her free time, she’s probably looking for her next TV show to watch or doom-scrolling through social media.

Serena is currently seeking full-time opportunities in graphic design. If you're interested in working together with her, feel free to reach out!

01 TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Branding & Identity
Sept. 2022 to Dec. 2022
The Toronto International Film Festival takes place yearly in September, usually after Labour Day, which creates opportunities for filmmakers and the general public to attend, as it’s a transitional period between the on and off seasons for film and work. The purpose of the festival is to transform the way people see the world through film.

The poster* is classy yet modern, combining the traditional and analog appearance of film in a digital poster. It follows a symbolic and representational approach by using film strips to mimic a hand-placed, organic look. Quiet typography is used to inform the audience about the details of the festival while also letting the main element speak for itself.

*This is a student project and a conceptual redesign. The work is not associated with or endorsed by the Toronto International Film Festival.
