SERENA WONG

Serena Wong (she/her) is a Toronto-based graphic designer with a love for all things creative — and a good bowl of soup, whether it's army stew or cream of mushroom.

In her free time, she’s probably looking for her next TV show to watch or doom-scrolling through social media.

Serena is currently seeking full-time opportunities in graphic design. If you're interested in working together with her, feel free to reach out!

07 TORONTO PUBLIC LIBRARY

Branding & Identity
Jan. 2021 to Apr. 2021
A collaborative redesign* — with Justin Chiu, Nieves Rocillo, and Kalli Jones — of the Toronto Public Library website focused on creating a simpler, more user-friendly experience. As a team, we analyzed user needs and restructured the site’s information architecture to improve clarity and navigation across key sections of the website.

My primary contribution focused on designing a live chat feature to help users quickly find the information and resources they need. I explored how real-time assistance could reduce friction, support wayfinding, and improve accessibility for users who may struggle with traditional navigation. This feature was designed to integrate seamlessly into the overall experience, providing clear guidance while maintaining the library’s welcoming and inclusive tone.

*This is a student project and a conceptual redesign. The work is not associated with or endorsed by the Toronto Public Library.
